As our original model, HS-WEDM has become one of the CNC machine tools which have the largest production and the most widely used in China. It is also used widely in aerospace, military, automotive, electronics and other manufacturing areas, and demonstrates the incomparable superiority. However, with the quickly development of aerospace, mold and other industry’s, precision and ultra-precision machining has become the main trend of manufacturing industry, HS-WEDM’s quality has been unable to meet the increasing demand. It has been proved that the high-speed WEDM machine has been to realize the multiple cutting technology, it can significantly improve the processing technology index,but the problem of insufficient on cutting machining precision and surface quality has been restricting the development and application of this technology. So,the research on the technology of HS-WEDM’s multi-cutting has important theory significance and remarkable social economic benefits for promoting the development and application of this technology.This paper on the base of summing up a large number of research results, analyzed the research of the high-speed WEDM processing multiple cutting technology,and described in detail on High-speed WEDM and repeatedly cutting factors; Secondly, this paper presents a reasonable and reliable multiple on cutting processing method according to the pulse current, pulse width, pulse interval, thickness of processing, wire speed and correction and other major factors influencing the design of a comprehensive experimental scheme. In addition, using traditional methods which are range, variance analysis to be combined with the modern method which is genetic algorithm to analyzed the multi-cutting process data of test, and builded the regression model and artificial neural network modeling; Finally, on the base of MATLAB, it developed the intelligent optional process data system software of HS-WEDM’s multi-cuttingExperimental design of the single factor experiment, master the influence rule on the main influencing factors on High-speed WEDM processing index; It designed once-cutting orthogonal experiment, studied the primary factors which effects of once-cutting, getted optimal processing parameters for once-cutting; On the base of using the primary factors which effects of once-cutting,it designed the" three times cutting for test, the five times cutting for verification" multi-cutting orthogonal test model, studied the primary factors which effects of multi-cutting, getted optimal processing parameters for multi-cutting;It designed comparison and demonstration test to prove the model of multi-cutting orthogonal test is reliability, the three times cutting can meet the requirements of multi-cutting.It has been optimized that using the genetic optimization algorithm for multiple cutting process parameters, the optimal processing parameters proved repeatedly cutting combination of rationality; The regression model and artificial neural network modeling are builded on test data, getted the optimum regression model and artificial neural network model which can predict multi-cutting parameters; The intelligent optional system of HS-WEDM’s multi-cutting process data which is designed on the base of artificial neural network model, have friendly interface and simple operation, have reached the expected functional requirements. After verification, the intelligent optional system’s precision is good, it has the certain guiding significance to the actual production.
