FCC slurry is a kind of valuable chemical engineering material. It can be a good feedstock of many valuable chemical products, such as carbon black, carbon fiber, needle coke, rubber filling oil and softener, asphalt modifier, heat transfer oil, plasticizer and so on. However, the catalyst particles contained in the FCC slurry will cause unfavorable effects. This paper is based on the preliminary study of our task group and makes some suitable adjustment. The author chooses glycerol as the weighting agent, and focuses on the solid removal rate changed by additive dosage and temperature and settling time. This paper chooses glycerol-water system as the weighting agent and flocculant carrier. Remove the catalyst particles form FCC slurry by De-emulsification flocculant. The optimum condition we obtained is as follows.168-demulsifier is the suitable demulsifier and the dosage is450ppm. Polyacrylamide and ammonium sulfate are the most effective flocculant, both dosages are1000ppm. The weight of glycerol is10%of the FCC slurry throughput. The weight of water is50%of the weight of glycerol. The settling temperature is about85℃. The stirring speed of the high-shear emulsifying machine is about600r/min, mixing time is15min, settling temperature is95℃, settling time is6h. then the solid content of FCC decanted oil can be reduced to500ppm.
