Although TiO2photocatalytic technology has attracted attention in a wide range of academic disciplines including materials science, chemistry, environmental science and engineering, the large band gap of TiO2restricts its photocatalytic applications only to the UV range of solar spectrum. As a result, TiO2material can not take adventage of solar erengy. In order to overcome the limitations of conventional TiO2photocatalysts, cabon deposited one-dimensional TiO2photocatalyst were designed and prepared. The modification and photocatalytic activty were also studied in this thesis. The main contents of this thesis are as follows:Sodium titanate nanobelts were synthesized by regulating the concentration of NaOH solution under hydrothermal treatment. Uniform nanobelts were obtained when the concentration of NaOH reached5mol/L, hydrogen titanate nanotubes were obtained via acid washing. C-TiO2-NB composites were prepared by calcining the mixture of sucrose and hydrogen titanate nanotubes. The composites showed higher visible photocatalytic activity than hydrogen titanate nanobelts.C-TiO2-NB composites showed low visible photocatalytic activity because of the low specific surface aera. We synthesized nabotubes under hydrothermal treatment to increase the specific surface aera of one-dimensional TiO2. Uniform sodium titanate nanotubes with the special aera of383m2/g were obtained by regulation the filling degree and hydrothermal temperature. C-TiO2-NT composites were synthesized with the same method of C-TiO2-NB composites, the C-TiO2-NT composites showed higher visible photocatalytic actibity than C-TiO2-NB composites. In addition, calcination temperature and carbon amount of composites were also researched deeply.
