With the development of Chinese economy, chemical industry gets a fast development.People demand more chemical materials than before. Because dangerous chemical materialsare harmful and the number of dangerous chemical accidents increases, people begin to concernmore about them. The problem that how to calculate the number of these dangerous chemicalaccidents to analyze the common points and the cause of accidents so as to propose policySuggestions to avoid accident has become one of the hot topics for the relevant departments,scholars and social research. Statistical analysis method is used to do research on the accidentsof dangerous chemicals in China. We analyzed the regional characteristics of the dangerouschemical accidents, and explored the future trends of the dangerous chemical accidents, andprovided a scientific basis for the emergency management of the dangerous chemicalaccidents.The first, this paper based on the data from the State Administration and Supervision ofProduction Safety official website and Chemical safety net, collecting and reorganizing thedangerous chemical accidents and the number of deaths from31provinces in our country fromthe year2005to2011. In order to come to whether the dangerous chemicals has the regionalcharacteristics or not, the cluster analysis method is used which is belong to statistical analysismethod. We analysis the31provinces of China by selected five indicators: production, storageaccidents, transport accidents, fireworks accidents, civil incidents and deaths. The results ofanalysis show that the31provinces can be divided into three categories: Zhejiang, Guangdong,Jiangsu under the same category; Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, ganglia, henna, Hubei, Shanxi,Shandong, Anhui for one category;Other provinces and cities for one category. which reflectthat dangerous chemical accidents happened in China have regional characteristics, showing upas the accidents in the southeastern provinces happened more frequent than the eastern andwestern.The second, it also predicted that the dangerous chemical accidents happened in2012willup to1852, comparing with2011and2010, the number of accidents increased obviously.Through the analysis, we can draw a conclusion that the quantity of the dangerous chemicalaccidents affected by accident link, regional development and chemical enterprise scale. Thefireworks accident will cause influence widely, harm scope, more casualties, etc. Some overlapping functions in the supervision and administration departments supervising, andenterprises are operating without permits are the primary causes frequently happeneddangerous chemical accidents. Finally, policy Suggestions are proposed to avoid dangerouschemical accidents occurring frequently and provide the theory basis for supervision andmanagement of the relevant departments.
