In this article, the properties of silicone rubber was improved through rubberblends, The processing properties, curing characteristics, mechanical properties, oilresistance and heat resistance of MVQ blends were studied, The effect of MVQ blendswith different reinforcement system and curing additives as well as blends oftwo-phase compatibility were also involved in this paper. At last, the MVQ rubberblends materials with excellent resistance to high temperature properties, oil resistanceand excellent mechanical properties was obtained through rubber blends.The result showed that: the mechanical properties and oil resistance of MVQ wereimproved through blended with EVM, with the increase of EVM content, tensilestrength, elongation at break and compression set of MVQ/EVM blends wereimproved,100%modulus and hardness decreased, mechanical properties wasimproved obviously; Change of volume rate and hardness rate of MVQ/EVMvulcanizate were decreased after immersing in ASTM1~#and ASTM3~#oil, oil resistanceof silicone rubber was improved; The thermal behaviors was studied bythermogravimetry and dynamic mechanical analysis, it was found that the main-chaindecomposition temperature, peak temperature and the damping factor decreased withthe addition of EVM to MVQ, the thermal stability of MVQ blends was decreased;The cross linking density of MVQ/EVM blends was increased significantly and thenmechanical properties was also improved.The mechanical properties and oil resistance of MVQ were improved throughgood compatibility of silicone rubber and AEM vulcanizate, With the increase of AEMcontent, the properties of vulcanizate such as tensile strength, elongation at break, tearstrength, compression set and hardness were improved; Change of volume rate andmass rate of MVQ/EVM vulcanizate were decreased after immersing in ASTM1~#andASTM3~#oil, oil resistance of silicone rubber was increased obviously; SEM and DMAanalysis showed that the two-phase of silicone rubber and AEM was uniformlydispersed and two mutually interpenetrating network was formed in MVQ/AEMblends, at same time it was found that there is only one peak between MVQ andAEM,so that two phase has good compatibility; TGA and DMA analysis showed that the main-chain decomposition temperature decreased and glass transition temperaturego to the high temperature direction, the thermal stability of MVQ blends wasdecreased. It was found that when silica/Nan kaolin ratio is20/30, the comprehensiveproperties of MVQ/AEM blends were excellent when reinforced with silica/Nan kaolinblends.The mechanical properties, thermal stability and oil resistance of MVQ wereobviously improved when blended with fluorine rubber, With the increase of FKMcontent, the properties of MVQ/FKM vulcanizate such as vulcanization time, tearstrength, compression set and hardness were improved, the tensile strength andelongation at break decreased first and then increasing, the comprehensive propertiesof MVQ/FKM blends was excellent when blends ratio is25/75; Change of volume rateand hardness of MVQ/FKM vulcanizate were obviously decreased after immersed inASTM1#and ASTM3~#oil, oil resistance of silicone rubber was improved effectively;Through SEM analysis it was found that the compatibility of silicone rubber andfluorine rubber was also improved effectively with the addition of FMVQ,thermogravimetry analysis showed that MVQ/FKM blends was excellent rubbermaterial with excellent comprehensive properties such as oil resistance and heatresistance when blended with FMVQ.
