Research On Critical Technique Of Map Print Workflow Management

Traditional print production techniques and equipments were struck heavily by print digitalworkflow and digital devices with the popular application of digitization, computer and JDFtechnologies in the information era. Printing enterprises had to set foot on digitalized productionand information management. Map production units’ production management methods shouldalso have a digital revolution.On the basis of deep analysis of map print workflow, print workflow management theoriesand job definition format specification, and considering the separation and isolation of print jobprocesses in map production units, this paper designed map printing workflow managementinformation system on its networked workstation. The data share between map printingworkflow management information system and digital prepress system, the manipulating systemof press equipment were realized in virtue of information communication and transmission viamap print job document, which was generated by map printing workflow managementinformation system. The map print job document not only contained map original printing imageinformation, and management information, it also made them stream through prepress, platemaking and press processes more efficiently, smoothly, and harmoniously, which made thesystem play an assistant function in improving map print flow management and productionefficiency. The contents studied in this paper are as follows:1. The development of map print technology and information flow in the map print digitalworkflow were detailed studied. The evolvement of map manufacture mode and print digitalworkflow were summarized. The paper also researched the contents of map original printingimage information, print flow control information, and management information, and theirrelationship in the print digital workflow.2. Map printing workflow management information system was conceived and designed.Learning from the idea of computer integration print, the paper contrived the system’s operatingprocedure, function module, architecture, background database and data access interface.3. By analyzing print job process descriptive principles, JDF data exchange means andInternet transfer protocols etc, the roles of map printing workflow management informationsystem and the map print job information transmitting methods were particularly explained. Mapprinting workflow management information system was capable of generating map print jobdocument. It came to truth that the transmission and communication of map print job informationwere achieved by dint of print job networked workstation.4. Map printing workflow management information system was set up and validated bysimulative test. The system functions consisting of print task acceptance, production planning, workflow controlling, personnel management, check and statistics were implemented. Inaddition, simulative tests, which were used to verify the obtain ability and transmission of mapprint job document, comprising map original printing image information and workflowmanagement information in map print workflow, were designed.
