Chinese traditional handicrafts are the material and cultural relics of the people in their daily life,as a part of China's excellent traditional culture,have Convenience,beautification and enrichment of life for the purpose.Traditional textile printing and dyeing processes are various,There are direct printing,anti-dyeing printing,discharge printing,transfer printing and other types.Xinjiang wooden print belongs to direct printing and dyeing,while Zhejiang indigo print craft belongs to anti-dyeing printing,although the two processes are different in the existing classification,but in ancient times both belong to the type of model fabric dyeing.Both printing craft is to borrow a wooden mold for the model,mainly plant dyeing,after different dyeing craft in the homespun fabric molding.The handicraft of printed cloth is a combination of practicality,cultural symbolism and artistic appreciation,the creation of Xinjiang wooden print and zhejiang indigo print is influenced by various social cultures,the living environment and way of the region are displayed through the medium of cloth.Both patterns of the two crafts are inherited from local culture to regional culture and then to Chinese traditional culture,this is the abbreviation of regional cultural development.Combined with the pattern modeling,color matching and fabric composition reflected in their respective crafts,the aesthetic characteristics and cultural connotation of the two places are compared for in-depth analysis.The distinctive regional characteristics of Xinjiang and Zhejiang are distinguished and echoed with the traditional crafts to show the beauty of the two calico crafts.In this paper,based on field research.Interviews were conducted with several craftsmen from Xinjiang and Zhejiang,research of traditional wooden print in Xinjiang compare to indigo print craft model in Zhejiang.In terms of aesthetics and iconography.In-depth comparative study is conducted from the aspects of material selection,mould and fabric production craft,patternformal beauty and cultural characteristics of xinjiang wooden printing and Zhejiang indigo print process.The technological process and development status of stencil printing are analyzed,thus the Chinese calico market demand for a scientific grasp.From the perspective of practice and strategy,the characteristics of traditional handicrafts and modern products are analyzed,the integration of Xinjiang mould-stamped calico fabric and modern product features will increase the activity of calico fabric in the market,stimulate the creative value of craftsmen,to promote the healthy development of wooden print industry in Xinjiang,and make contributions to the better inheritance and development of this process.
