Epoxy resin is a most widely used matrix resin in composite materials, it is a kind of important thermosetting resin. It has many advantages,such as:its bonding strength is good, insulation performance is outstanding and it can suffer both high and low temperature, so it is widely used in adhesive, coating and so many industries. But because of its high crosslinking density and big internal stress, there are some shortages, for example, brittle, poor ability to resist to hot and humid circumstance which limits its development in many high technology fields, so the application of modified epoxy resin becomes very popular at present also is a practical method.People usually take two methods to obtain high performance epoxy resin adhesive:one is developing a new high performance epoxy resins; the other is using blend or copolymerization method to modified epoxy resin system. This experiment mainly takes the existing industrial epoxy resin, using the blend and copolymerization method for the preparation of new epoxy resin system. This experiment mainly divided into several parts below, all the modified experiments above are taken viscosity test, tensile shear strength test, contact angle test, gelation time test, electrical properties test and water absorption rate test, and get valid and real experimental data.The influence of changing the proportion of curing agent MTHPA and K-12of the ECC202epoxy. There are five groups in the experiment, which have same quality of ECC epoxy resin and adding different proportions of MTHPA and K-12curing agent, the sum of MTHPA and K-12’s quality are same. The viscosity of only using K-12’s group is minimum; The tensile shear strength of all groups are between14MPa and18MPa and increase with K-12content increasing; the activation energy are between70kJ/mol-75kJ/mol; the surface energy are between54mJ/m2to60mJ/m2.Research the influence of different diamine curing agents to two kinds of epoxy resin copolymer’s performance. There are four groups and each group samples containing the same quality of ECC202and TGDDM epoxy resin, all added the same quality of DDS curing agent, DDM, L-curing agent, L-curing agent, and then1,2,3samples are added the same quality of CE793, the4th samples is blank compared experiment with no CE793. Gelation time change of sample using DDM as curing agent is the biggest; The apparent activation energy of L-curing agent sample is the largest, and the reaction rate of sample with thinner are slow than that without thinner. The degree of the bibulous rate differ not quite,5%-6%. Sample having L-curing agent as curing agent has the highest tensile strength, about20MPa, the tensile strength of sample without thinner are smaller than sample with thinner. Change the proportion of the two kinds of epoxy resin, ECC202and TGDDM to study the influence of the performance. There are five groups, changing the proportion of TGDDM and ECC202, and make sure every group having the same total quality of ECC202and TGDDM epoxy, then use L-curing agent for curing. With the increase of the proportion of ECC epoxy resin, gelation time of system keep getting bigger, the activation energy are between80-95kJ/mol. With the increase of the TGDDM proportion, the viscosity of the system decreases. When TGDDM:ECC202=1:2and1:4, bonding strength reached more than20MPa. These samples are low water absorption rate and excellent hydrophobic properties.Preparation and properties research of organic silicone modified epoxy adhesive. Prepare samples according that quality ratios of the organic silicon SR-22000and E-51epoxy are2%,4%,6%,8%and10%. Add650curing agent and K-12curing agent to E-51epoxy resin according the certain proportion to find out the best ratio of organic silicon and epoxy resin, do tracking test of the properties to make sure that6%is the best ratio. According to the best ratio, make a series of different proportions of curing agent to test the various performances. When using curing agents P-1000and MTHPA, gelation time is the longest and has the highest viscosity; when using a curing agent K-12, bibulous rate is the lowest; when using a curing agent650, activation energy is minimum and has the highest mechanical strength.Preparation and properties research of carboxyl-terminated nitrile rubber modified epoxy adhesive. Prepare the samples according that the ratios of carboxyl-terminated nitrile rubber resin and E-51epoxy resin quality ratio are5%,8%,10%,12%and14%.Use MTHPA and K-12as curing agent respectively, producing adhesive samples. When taking MTHPA as curing agent, quality ratio of CTBN and E-51is8%, gelation time is the longest and has the lowest activation energy; when the mass ratio is14%, the viscosity and the mechanical strength are the largest, bibulous rate is the lowest. When taking K-12as curing agent, when quality ratio of CTBN and E-51is5%, bibulous rate is the lowest; when the mass ratio is12%, gelation time is the longest, activation energy is the lowest; When the mass ratio is14%, the viscosity is the largest, the mechanical strength is highest, electrical performance is favorable.
