The industrial revolution brought the advantage and comfort to the people bymaking use of the energy to drive the machine in the18century60s.So far theenergy crisis and the greenhouse effect have worn people all over the world, whichmade human to protect the survival environment to keep the carbon cycle anddevelop the sustainable development of recycling economy adequately, thelow-carbon globalization has been an objective tendency in recent years.Biomass is a kind of organisms that means the quantities of the biology then anotherway of saying in ecology is that it can convert the noumenon of animals, plants, animalcules into physical quantity. As an important renewable raw material resource, the corn straw has attracted more and more attention, instead of being cooked forfood in the past. The purpose of this study was to utilize the biomass from corn straw to producethe biodegradable environmentally friendly board based on the viewpoints ofagricultural biomass and effectively utilizing. There two physical and chemicmethods for making board and we use the phydical one.Technical evaluation of theresulting shows after refining, defibration, pressing and drying, corn straw can bemade into bio-board. To research the material properties of bio-board and get themodulus of elasticity and rupture stress, the bending test is conducted. The resultshows the biodegradable board’s rupture stress is1.2times stronger compared withthe polystyrene plastic material used in food container. To learn the relationship ofmoisture content and strength, the moisture content is measured. The result showsthe moisture content is lower the strength is better within5%scope.Bio-board is made from natural fibre without the chemical substances. Therupture stress is stronger than polystyrene plastic’s. Therefore, the use of biomassboard as a substitute for the oil-plastic materials as food packing container, heatinsulation in tignum, mulch film and so on is technically possible...
