Organic nonlinear polymer material is new electro-optical material whichhas good plasticity, low dielectric constant, better combination and simpledevices fabrication, it has attractive application prospects in optical storage andoptical logic operations, etc. Nonlinear polymer with azo became one of researchhotspots because of their good nonlinear optical effect. Yet the research on newazo nonlinear optical materials is not enough, there still have some shortcomings,just as too long nitriding time and complex synthetic process. In this test,microwave radiation method was used to design and synthesize several kinds ofpolyphosphazene with azo nonlinear materials, and the nonlinear opticalproperties were studied. Following several aspects of work were finished in thethesis:Polyphosphazene with phenol grafted by paranitroaniline, polypho-sphazenewith phenol grafted by2,4-dinitroaniline and polyphosphazene with carbazolegrafted by2,4-dinitroaniline were synthesized by microwave method in thispaper, and the factors that affected the synthesis yield and grafting rate werediscussed to determine the optimum conditions, such as reaction temperature,reaction time, microwave power, microwave radiation time and reactant ratio;The structure of synthesized products was characterized by infraredspectroscopy, UV spectroscopy; the grafting rate of azo groups was tested byelemental analysis, the results showed that the grafting rates of polyphosphazenewith phenol grafted by paranitroaniline were between8.9%and32.3%; thegrafting rates of polyphosphazene with phenol grafted by2,4-dinitroaniline werebetween10.9%and32.8%; the grafting rates of polyphosphazene with carbazolegrafted by2,4-dinitroaniline were between11.8%and31.9%;The photocondcutive property and electro-optic coefficient of three kinds ofmaterials with different grafting rates were tested, the results showed that:(1) The photoconductivity and electro-optic coefficients increased with increasinggrafting yields;(2) The photoconductivity of polyphosphazene with phenolgrafted by paranitroaniline could reach to9.5×10-15(S/m), and electro-opticcoefficient was28.7(pm/V); The photoconductivity of polyphosphazene withphenol grafted by2,4-dinitroaniline could reach to11.5×10-15(S/m), electro-opticcoefficient was35.9(pm/V); The photoconductivity of polyphosphazene withcarbazole grafted by2,4-dinitroaniline could reach to12.8×10-15(S/m), electro-optic coefficient was136.9(pm/V);Photoconductivity and electro-optic coefficient of polyphosphazene withcarbazole grafted by2,4-dinitroaniline was the best by comparing in the threematerials.
