Gemini surfactant is known as the excellent performance of a new generation ofsurfactants, its aqueous solution has a special phase behaviors and rheologicalproperty, has tremendous application prospect in enhancing oil recovery. This topicaccording to the structure characteristics of the gemini surfactant, designed andsynthesized a new type of Gemini surfactants containing carboxylic acid base.In order to synthetize of the carboxylate type of Gemini surfactant, usedN-Dimethyl dodecylamine and EDTA and as raw materials. Under the condition ofmolar ratio1:2, reaction temperature45℃, reaction time after22h carboxylate typeGemini surfactant was synthesized.Using infrared spectra and element analysisproducts for structural characterization of synthesis, the structure and the design ofreaction of the target product is consistent. Using conductance method to measurecmc, was lower than that of traditional surfactant (SDS)2orders of magnitude.Foaming property and foam stability of surfactant were tested and discussed its effectson temperature, concentration of salt solution. Spectrophotometry is used to calculatethe out of the products of benzene solubilization ability, also used adsorption of oilsands to calculate the adsorption performance of the product. This article will alsocompound product with petroleum sulfonate and alkali, tested the oil/water interfacialtension. ASP flooding in laboratory simulation flooding experiments, studies havefound that in the use of the carboxylate gemini surfactanasp flooding, it can improveoil recovery by20%.
