Variable cross-section roll forming of sheet metal forming process is a new modem. Compared with the traditional roll forming products, variable cross-section roll forming products are more reasonable in bearing capacity, and can realize the lightweight, saving material etc. Variable cross-section roll forming section has a good application prospect in the automotive, construction and other fields. But at present the researches about variable cross-section roll forming process, the topic is the study method of applying finite element simulation using tapered roller bend forming process the influence of vehicle longitudinal beam.In this research, the problem of researching and designing for the vehicle longitudinal beam of variable cross-section roll forming process, I finished engineering plastic theory of pass design, roll mold design as well as to between a strip and roll speed matching design. Verify the deformation characteristics in the process of longitudinal beam forming, in accordance with the large deformation theoiy of shaping the finite element simulation of many methods, analyzes the causes and improvement measures of key parts of defects, so that products meet the design requirements.The subject completed the thirteen pass design time and corresponding roller design. Through nonlinear finite element analysis software ABAQUS, I finished variable cross-section roll of finite element simulation forming of automobile structure. By using the method of increment of load control adaptive time step, I expound the relationship between molding roller and the profiles of the velocity, analyzed the forming roller track and finished finite element modeling of the automobile longitudinal beam of variable cross-section roll-forming. In the initial simulation of variable cross-section roll-forming of the vehicle longitudinal beam, I designed thirteen times forming process and modified the initial plan through the analysis of results, adopted and modified roll radius bending process design scheme. Through the finite element simulation test modified, I gived that meet the process design and roller design of variable cross-section roll forming requirements, it can be used to process and provide the reference variable cross-section roll on the actual beam, which has practical significance for the actual truck beam of variable cross section production.
