Oil tank is a kind of important equipment in the oil industry. It has a great significance to monitor the liquid level height, the moisture content and the temperature of the oil tank. Most of the oil tanks monitoring still use manual measurement at home and abroad by now. The error of the manual measurement method is big and it’s also dangerous for operators. To improve energy efficiency and protect environment, this paper proposes a wireless remote monitoring system of oil tank based on solar power technology, wireless technology and database technology.This system consists of data acquisition and sending system, data reception and display system and PC database management system. The data acquisition and sending system uses STM32F103as the core processor. It mainly processes the sensor signals and sends data by wireless transmission module. In sunny, the solar power panel is responsible to power the system and charge the lithium batteries in PWM step-down mode by the chip CN3722. In rainy, the lithium batteries supply power to the system. The data reception and display system uses AT89S52as the core processor. It is mainly responsible to receive the data by wireless transmission module and send the data to the PC by serial port. The data reception and display system displays the current parameters by LCD1602. Moreover, the PC database management system makes the management software by Visual Basic language. It records all the receiving data by the Access database, and it can supply real-time display for the users. Besides, the users can inquire the daily variation curves, the monthly variation curves and the yearly variation curves in the PC database management system. The whole system can realize monitoring and management of multiple oil tanks in the monitoring centre.All of the software and hardware of the whole system was researched and developed in this paper. And it also increased low power consumption measures to the field system. The whole system was debugged successfully and achieved. ideal effect.The system has the advantages of low power consumption, low cost, high reliability and so on. It has certain practical value and broad market prospects.
