With the development of social and economic, the electrical energy requirementsof quality and safety are increasing. The accelerating pace of construction of powergrids and the improvement of the structure, greatly improve the security and stabilityof the power system. The number of accidents that undermine the stability of thepower system is declining. But the accidents consequences caused by natural disasterscan not be ignored. In recent years, with the rapid development of the oilfield grid,increased the density of substations and transmission lines, and the complexity ofnetwork architecture grid. Whenever the bad weather, the safe operation of the gridwill be threatened. In recent years, lightning, high winds, freezing rain and otherextreme weather caused a lot of grid failure. The safe operation of the power grid ofthe oilfield had a serious impact. These have resulted in a great loss in the productionof crude oil.This thesis is to establish oil field power system lightning monitoring systemused in oilfield electricity network. The system uses the time to reach and thedirectional positioning model to improve the positioning accuracy and detectionefficiency of the system lightning point. Lightning protection system based on acomputer network. Front server and vice stands acquisition device used thecombination of GPRS and communication of network technology. Probe positioningmonitoring data is integrated. Using the data server for the data processing andstorage is high reliability, and also has collection, processing, storage, query, statisticsand other functions. It can timely provide accurate lightning data positioninginformation in the intranet web, and find the point of failure, guide line patrol. So thatoilfield grid can take appropriate lightning protection measures for different lightningconditions, to improve grid Lightning capacity and reduce losses caused by lightning.Lightning monitoring system maintenance provides a sufficient basis for the designand operation of the transmission lines or other power facilities. And reduce theoutage loss as much as possible.
