Food safety has become a wide public concern social problem in China. Poisonous food seriously threat to people’s healthy life, frequently food safety accidents also cause damage to the healthy development of economic and social life. Under the background of public opinion rising, administration seeking countermeasures, carrying out the relevant theoretical research on food safety issues from the perspective of ethics, has become an important practical significant problems.At present, China’s food safety problem is mainly manifested:in the raw material supply chain, there is contamination in some companies, becoming the source factors that affecting food safety; the illegal use of additives, the addition of poisonous and harmful substances in the production processing; hiding with related information the spread of fake and shoddy foods in the circulation and consumption link; the relevant departments lack of effective supervision of the illegal production in the regulatory link. Due to the inadequate accountability mechanisms, and the ethics consciousness indifference of relevant personnel, traditional ethics, such as "justice after Lee","gentleman’s love of money in a proper way" and modern business ethics have not play a bound restrict role, making the problem worse.From the perspective of applied ethics, the entire food industry has the corresponding ethical responsibility:the key is to handle the interests of the enterprise and consumers properly for food producers; Food sellers must ensure the quality and earnestly shoulder the responsibility of being honesty and trustworthiness; the food industry managers should be more people-oriented, developing their own advantages and supervision, to promote social fairness and justice.To fundamentally eliminate the hidden danger of food safety, we must strengthen the ethical responsibility education of relevant personnel, establish ethical accountability mechanisms, through the joint efforts of the whole society, and create a healthy corporate culture and management order, to promote the construction of harmonious society.
