Heihe river basin is known as the second largest inland river basin in the northwest, the basin area is big, it flows through a vast district, playing a decisive role in the development of the politics, economic and culture of the northwest. The geographical location of Heihe river basin is extremely special, at which the air force base and satellite launch base are, it is of great political, military, international strategic significance to protect the Heihe river basin and promote the healthy development of it.For half a century, Heihe river basin has made great progress in economic development, but at the same time, water resources of the river basin is shortage and its ecological environment has been burdening increasing heavy pressure, which hinder the sustainable development of the Heihe river basin’s economy. Heihe river basin’s economic development is related to its ecological health. On the one hand the Heihe river basin’s economic development can promote the development of the Heihe river basin’s ecological health. On the other hand the development of Heihe river basin’s ecological health can promote the economic development of the Heihe river basin. It is the breakthrough point of this master’s thesis that the dynamic coupling research of the ecosystem health and economic sustainable development of Heihe river basin. The author has used multi-disciplinary theory and the qualitative and quantitative method to research. The theory related to the ecosystem health and the economic sustainable development of river basin is been as the base, the author uses the evaluation model and the dynamic coupling model to analysis the relevant data of the latest seven years of the Heihe river basin to draw the coupling degree of the ecosystem health and economic sustainable development of the black river. The analysis found that the Heihe basin is recently at the coordination phase of the ecosystem health and economic sustainable development, but the dynamic coupling degree of those two is reduced heavily close to zero degrees, which will tend to be negative in the near future. The discovery indicates that the whole system will enter into the low-level coordination development stage. Correctly understanding the regularity of dynamic coupling interaction stress of ecosystem health and economic sustainable development and taking appropriate changing policies is of great significance for promoting ecosystem health and economic sustainable development of the Heihe river basin.
