Of the various Ⅱ-Ⅵ semiconductors, zinc selenide (ZnSe) with a direct band gap of2.67eV and superior performance. It is widely used for various applications like photoelectronic device, solar cell and laser. So, it is very important and significant to research and preparation ZnSe nanomaterials.In recent years, there are many methods about preparing technology of ZnSe, such as chemical vapor deposition method, Sol-gel method, and molecular beam epitaxy method. However, the above methods have the various of disadvantages. Consequently, searching for a reasonable and pollution free synthetic method as well as making the shape control of the nanocrystal have become one of the key technologies for preparation of ZnSe nanocrystals. Because of the hydrothermal and water bath method showed advantages of the preparation process is simple, less investment, pollution-free and so on. In this article, ZnSe microspheres have been synthetized via hydrothermal method as well as ZnSe nanocrystal grown on a glass substrate which have been sensitizing-activation treated by stannous chloride and nitrate solution. For the purpose of obtaining different morphologies of ZnSe nanomaterials, we have achieved morphology controllable preparation of ZnSe nanomaterials by changing the parameters of the reaction, and further studied on photocatalytic properties of the samples. The main contents are as follows:1. Hydrothennal Sythesis of ZnSe Microsphere and CharacterizationZnSe Microsphere have been synthesized by hydrothermal route using sodium selenite and zinc acetate as selenium and zinc sources. In this system, hydrazine hydrate as reducing agent and different additive is added to reaction system. XRD,SEM were used to characterize the phase structure and morphology, The results show that prepared samples is cubic zinc blende structure, well-dispersed, uniform particle size. The different surface morphology of ZnSe microspheres had obtained in the case of adding different additives.2. The Water Bath Method of Vertical Growth Sythesis of ZnSe Nanocrystal and CharacterizationZnSe nanocrystal are grown on glass substrate which been sensitization and activation treated by stannous chloride solution and silver nitrate solution. Using sodium selenite and selenosulfate as different selenium sources, zinc acetate as zinc sources, hydrazine hydrate as reducing agent, polyvinyl pyrrolidone as surfactant. XRD、SEM were used to characterize the phase structure and morphology, and researching photocatalytic properties of the sample via degradation of methylene blue dye. The results show that ZnSe nanocrystals have been synthesized via the water bath method of vertical growth and grow on glass substrate is cubic zinc blende structure, novel morphology and have superior photocatalytic properties.
