At present, most of the onshore oilfields in China mainly use water floodingdevelopment, and most of them have entered the high water-cut development stage, andgradually increase the amount of sewage recovery. Produced water with high pollutants mustbe rigorous treatment, but with the gradual application of the oil process of the depth of the oilfield exploration, polymer flooding, ASP flooding and so on, produced sewage of thecomposition and nature of has changed. The traditional treatment process of sedimentationgradually arise phenomenon that device processing reduces, processing efficiency reduces,and the sewage settling time is too long. So it is difficult to meet the production requirements.But by the limitations of the process, the vertical sedimentation tank is still the most widelyused oil field oil-water separation equipment, and has an important role in the actualproduction. Therefore, studying the vertical sedimentation tank oil-water separationcharacteristics to determine the factors that affect the settling tank oil-water separator,studying how to improve the oil removal efficiency of the sedimentation tank oil are of greatsignificance.First of all, on the based of lots of literature to read and field research, anglicizingoil-water separation equipment engineering are given an overview of the working principleand structure characteristics of the different devices. Secondly, regarding oilfield verticalsettling tank as the main object of study, based on CFD method, the physical andmathematical models of the settling tank are established. Then author meshes to performthree-dimensional numerical simulation of1200m3settling tank using the FLUENTsoftware.and analysis from the settling tank internal fluid velocity and concentration fields.In summary, work is carried out mainly in the following aspects:1. Analyzing the Internal flow field of sedimentation tank, and starting from thesedimentation tank velocity field distribution, give its inner axial and radial position of theflow rate curve to describe the flow pattern of the settling tank fluid.2. Analyzing effect of the settling tank degreasing efficiency factors, there are two mainaspects. On one hand, the nature of the oil and water and the relevant parameters of thesettling tank, on the other hand, the internal structure of the settling tank. First, including thenature of the oil and water, oil particle size, settling time, the nature of the oil-water mainly tothe viscosity of the oil droplets and the aqueous phase. Deeply analyzing each factor that oilremoval efficiency of the sedimentation tank, the results show that the lower aqueous phase viscosity is the larger oil droplets the particle size is, the longer the settling time is, the higherthe efficiency of the sedimentation tank degreasing is, and different factors are within a rangeof values that have an impact on oil removal efficiency is obvious which provides directionfor the actual production.3. To solve the problem of lower oil removal efficiency of settling tankļ¼Œ a structuralimproved method is proposed. The sedimentation tank inlet area is changed, but the samepremise with the shape of the liquid tube is insured. By calculating, the improvedsedimentation tank flow field was relatively stable. Degreasing efficiency is also improved,which increases to80.0%from71.3%of the original structure...
