In this paper,a kind of anionic Gemini surfactant (TADS-10) were synthesizedusing diethylene triamine,2-bromoethane sulfonic acid sodium salt as rawmaterials.The product can be determined of anionic-active matter by direct two-phasetitration procedure and a purity as high as98.80%can be achieved.The molecularstructure of the synthesized product was characterized by IR and TOF mass spectraand was confirmed to be in good agreement with that of the target chemicals.At25℃surface tension of aqueous solutions was determined,the cmc ofTADS-10was0.41mmol/L, γcmcwas27.49mN/m. Sulfonate Gemini surfactantcompared with the traditional surfactants SDS and DTAB, had excellent surfaceactivity. Stir method was used to determine the foaming performance and foamstability of TADS-10, around the cmc, the foaming performance and foam stability werealmost unchanged. The wetting properties of TADS-10was determined byhypsometry method. With the increasing of the product concentration, the contactangle of the hydrophobic surface was reduced, the hydrophobic surface becamehydrophilic by wetting reversal, and the hydrophilic surface was increased, thehydrophilic surface became slightly hydrophilic.The static adsorption performance of TADS-10on oil sand from the Daqingoilfield was studied, with the increase of temperature and addition of NaCl andNa2CO3the adsorption capacity initially increased, with an increase in theconcentrations of the sulfonates on oil sand the adsorption capacity initially increasedthen reduced. Adsorption thermodynamics research showed that the adsorptionisotherm of Gemini surfactant on oil sands obey the Langmuir isotherm equation.Interfacial tension between TADS-10and oil were tested through“rotating dropmethod”, the effect of salinity and alkali on the oil-water interfacial tension wasinvestigated in this paper, salinity, alkali and TADS-10can creat obvious synergyeffects.The synergetic efficiency of TADS-10and anionic surfactant petroleumsulfonate mixed system, TADS-10and nonionic OP-10mixed system were obvious,both decreased the interfacial tension to ultralow(10-3mN/m). At45℃interfacialtension between SP, ASP and oil have reached10-2mN/m.
