In order to clear up freeze and storm and keep the airfield running in gear, large amount of airfieldpavement deicer (which is composed of CMA) and aircraft deicer(which is composed of ethyleneglycol) are sprayed. Destruction such as surface flaking of the airport pavement in low-lying areas isdurability damage of concrete, and enough concerns should be given to deal with safety hiddendanger of flight.In this paper, three series of concrete, namely Ordinary Portland cement concrete(OPC), highperformance concrete of Portland cement (HPC-P Ⅱ) and high performance concrete of anti-sulfatefate cement (HPC-P HSR), were prepared on the proportion principals of altering of binder andincorporating with synergistic effect of fly ash(FA), water reducing and air-entraining properties ofconcrete admixture and hybrid fiber. Room-temperature corrosion test were taken in water,3.5%NaClsolution, AD arrange from3.5%to25%and25%LBR-A, CMA arrange from3.5%to25%to studydurability of concrete. Deterioration process and features of concretes subjected to the aircraft deicerwere investigated in3years experiments. Eventually, cement type, content of fly ash and effect offiber and hybrid fiber were probed on the inhibition of deterioration in aircraft deicer.Main conclusions are drawn as follows:(1) In the3.5%~25%concentration solution of AD, the corrosion degree has relation with thesolution concentration and the corrosion time. But the corrosion effect is not very serious.Even in thehigh solution concentration of25%AD, the mass loss of OPC is only0.89%and the relative dynamicmodulus is still over95%.(2) The corrosion degree of LBR-A commercial deicer is higher than AD. In the25%LBR-Adeicer,concrete ‘s mass increase firstly and then reduce. The25%LBR-A deicer has the most seriouscorrosion to the OPC and its main corrosion features is the edge and corner’ peeling. At1500d, themass loss of OPC is2%and the relative dynamic modulus is still over90%. The25%LBR-A deicerhas relatively slight corrosion to the HPC. At1500d, the mass loss of HPC is within0.43%and therelative dynamic modulus is still over90%.(3) CMA has very serious corrosion and damage to the concrete, its main corrosion features isthe peeling damage on the surface.Higher concentration and longer immersion time result in seriousand quickly corrosion. The lower concentration, the minor corrosion.(4)25%concentration of CMA has very serious corrosion and damage to the OPC, but has small corrosion to the P·II concrete, the P·HSR concrete’s damage is between the P·II and OPC.(5) In the concentration of25%CMA, FA’s quantity has important influence on the corrosionresistance.40%FA’s resistance of corrosion is higer than20%FA. Using40%FA can improve HPC’scorrosion resistance.(6) The deterioration of concrete in aircraft deicer which is composed of ethylene glycol mainly isfreezing-thawing damage and the deterioration of concrete in APD which is composed of CMAmainly is corrosion damage.So, for the civil and military airports in the northern of China, the paper suggeste using cement ofP II and mixing40%FA to improve the durability of cement concrete road surface. |
