As energy crisis and environment pollution become more and more serious, the hybrid renewablepower system is becoming a hot spot of world attention, which can integrate multiple renewableenergy sources to power the load. In the renewable power system with two or more sources, themulti-input dc-dc converter (MIC), which serves as the interface of several sources with a load, insteading of several single-input dc-dc converters, can provide the energy to the load simultaneouslyor individually, thus the system configuration can be simplified and the overall cost can be reduced.Based on the concept of basic cells of the double-input converters (DIC), this thesis proposes afamily of asymmetrical DIC which can operate under one or two power sources. The advantages ofthe proposed converters are simple configuration, electrical isolation and the realization of softswitching. In this thesis, the topologies of asymmetric DIC are derived, and the operation principle of twodifferent typical asymmetric DIC is analyzed in detailed, as well as the relationship between the inputand output voltage. According to the specification of the converters, the parameters design is carriedout.Two240W prototypes are built and two double-input power supply systems are fabricated in thelaboratory, the experimental results are illustrated to verify the theoretical analysis of the proposedconverter. The master-slave mode energy management strategy is adopted to distribute the power oftwo input source, and the experimental results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposedcontrol strategy.
