With the development of China’s civil aviation industry, airport noise has become an increasinglyserious environmental problems and social problem, which not only seriously affected the normalwork, study and life of people around the airport, but also limit the development of the airport. Airportnoise prediction is an important technical means to solve the problem of airport noise, and plays animportant role in airport noise controlling, flight planning and airport designing.The airport noise prediction models are usually built based on aircraft noise distance curve (NPD).The NPD curves is little by little revised to the noise propagation model under the specific airportenvironmental conditions by using a variety of mathematical models, and it has strong predictiveability and versatility. In this way, there are shortcomings of too complex, high cost and greatprediction error. This paper mainly research on airport noise evaluation and airport noise predictiontechnology. By analyzing flight profile, ground track and the propagation of aircraft noise duringtaking off and landing, this paper design and implement an airport noise prediction model, andanalyze aircraft noise characteristics and influencing factors by using this model.For this situation, this paper presents an airport noise prediction model based on BP neuralnetwork. Using the noise event data to research propagation and distribution of airport noise, andanalyze the relationship of the number of noise events and the duration with the flights. This paperestablish a noise propagation model by using BP neural network and the history of noise monitoringdata, and analyze the characteristics of the model and the actual application performance. Experimentresults show that in particular specific airport environmental conditions, the proposed model has thefeatures of lower cost and high accuracy.
