The high-end hydraulic support meets the requirements of fully mechanizedmining automation and fully mechanized coal mining developments. So-called high-end mainly as the higher supports and protections height, the larger working resistance,the better reliability. Safety valve plays a key role to control and overload protection inthe hydraulic support. Performance of the safety valve affects the support strength andsafety factors directly, it also make further efforts on affecting productivity in coal faceand economic indicators. Therefore, the study of high water-based safety valve withhigh pressure and large flowrate not only has important scientific significance, but alsohas broad application value and huge economic benefits.Based on the research of a lot of correlative literatures at home and abroad, thispaper gives an overview on the modern status of the safety valve with high pressureand large flowrate. By combining with the domestic research progress, the authordetermines the direction of research for this paper.This paper targeted to the safety valve with any parameter used in the high-endhydraulic support, completed the structure design of the safety valve by theoreticalanalysis and calculation. It Draws the geometry model of the flow field based onPRO/E and building the mathematical model of flow field based on FLUENT.Afterwards, it analysises the flow field to define the mechanism of cavitation erosionand impact factors of the safety valve. On the other hand, it proposes the improvementmethod for the runner in the condition of high pressure and large flowrate. Moreover,this paper not only verifies the structure strength of the valve core by finite-elementanalysis on the safety valve with high pressure and large flowrate based on ANSYS,but also simulates the dynamic characteristic with the benefit of AMESim.Finally, this paper measures the opening, closing and overflow characteristics ofthe safety valve with high pressure and large flowrate in the testing system. The testresults meet the design requirements and security standards. It verifies the correctness of theoretical analysis and design method.
