Haiyunan is not only a key cultural relic’s protection unit in Qingdao, but also theonly one to carry out religious activities Taoist Temple in Qingdao. Haiyunan sugar Ballwhich held in Haiyunan has become a well-known brand event and one of the large folktemple fairs. With the game of the protection and development, how to use the culturalgene to developed Qingdao’s urban space, urban structure optimization, is become theimportant issues.This thesis use the neighborhood of Qingdao Haiyunan Nunnery folk culture as theobject of study, using qualitative and quantitative analysis and integration of urbaneconomics, history, geography, architecture and related disciplines such as the core ofinterdisciplinary research. And then collated and summarized the history of Haiyunanon the basis of the theory and results of the protection of cultural neighborhoodexperience.
