The "Ronan Point" events happened in1968initiated the research of progressivecollapse,in the following40years,as the GSA code and DOD code for the representativeof progressive collapse standard constantly perfect,and widely used.The studies ofprogressive collapse in China started later,but with the importance of progressivecollapse is more and more regarded,scholars in China has also carried out a lot ofresearches.However,in the current code of China,with respect to the structure ofprogressive collapse design,given only design principles,but has not given detail designmethod and design flow,therefore,the research of progressive collapse for further studynot only has high academic value but also has important significance to complete theChina code.The main researches of the contents are as follows: Introduced the structure ofprogressive collapse definition, and expound the famous progressive collapse events athome and abroad,summarizes the current research status of domestic and foreignscholars. Expound the international standard of the mainstream of progressive collapse,contrast the two American codes for progressive collapse (The GSA and DOD Code) ofthe design method,failure criteria,loading parameters and so on,compared to sum up thesimilarity and differences. Set up a8layers model of reinforced concrete framestructure to meet the requirements of the China code,consults the GSA standard staticmethod were used to linear,linear dynamic method,the nonlinear static method andnonlinear dynamic method for the analysis of progressive collapse,and gives thedetailed steps of analysis, comparative advantages and disadvantages of differentmethods. Compared to different component failure time to produce the dynamicresponse of the structure,different accidental corresponds to different role component failure time, dynamic amplification coefficient with the different component agingfailure time changes. Using linear dynamic method to analyze the model in this paper ofthe1st,4th and7th floor corner column, the short side column, long side column andthe interior column of the model in this paper for progressive collapse analysis,comparison, find out the structural resistance to impact on performance of the largestprogressive collapse component, and analyzes the reasons. Summarize the measures toprevent progressive collapse happened in the structure.
