Gas dissolved in transformer oil is one of the important characteristic quantitieswhich reflect the early discharge faults of transformers. Timely detection of gasesdissolved in insulating oils is an effective method to predict the potential inner faultsand the development of electrical equipment for early diagnosis, and so it is importantfor safe operation of transformers. In view of current gases dissolved in transformer oilare the shortcomings of the test method, namely gas chromatography is not suitable forcontinuous monitoring and some on-line monitoring device for the dissolved gasdetection presence of the cross of interference, proposes the use of spectrum absorptiontype optical fiber sensor used in gas of transformer fault detection, and on the testing ofthe experiment of C2H2argument. Laser infrared detection technology for the sensitivity,absorb selective and dynamic test showed its unique advantage, so the gases dissolvedin transformer oil online monitoring has wide application prospects.First, both at home and abroad, this paper expounds the gases dissolved intransformer oil detection technology and spectrum absorption type optical fiber sensorresearch situation of gas, and based on choose in transformer oil acetylene as theresearch object. Based on the gas beer-Lambert law and gas molecules absorb infraredspectrum theory, design and build optical fiber sensing system successfully gas testingexperiment platform, the optical fiber sensing system core components of the design ofthe gas chamber absorbs put forward a lens in the series of the group of transmission ofthe gas chamber design scheme, and complete the optical fiber sensing system in light,temperature controller, laser drives, photoelectric detector and other supporting deviceof selection.Second, DFB LD the spectral characteristics light sources (including outputwavelength and control current, output wavelength and into the current, DFB LD workto determine the wavelength) and the light path transmission loss for research. Choosethe absorption spectrum characteristics of acetylene line as the research object, usingJavahawks software simulation analysis factors such as temperature, pressure on theabsorption section, and the peak value absorption coefficient and spectral lines and ahalf high width influence.Finally, using the optical fiber sensing system set up gas detection experiments todetect C2H2gas platform, the results show that not happen in gas absorption is saturated in can detect C2H2gas concentration range, when detected wavelength constant,absorbency and the concentration of the gas detection approximate linear relationshipbetween follow, and get in different wavelength detection spectrophotometry and whenthe concentration of the gas with the relationship between the HITRAN series providedin the database which reference results, the detection results discussed and analyzed,and finally put forward based on least square method of C2H2gas the quantitativeanalysis method, and the performance parameters of sensor detailed analysis.
