The membrane structure is a new developing structure system, it is more andmore used in kinds of architecture with it’s beautiful and light-footed also it’sexcellent span ability of void. Because of the character of material of membrane, this kind of structure system is a flexibility system, and it’s stiffness and bearingcapacity depend on the pretension and precurvature and et, in order to controlmake safe the quality of engineering, prevent the fold, relaxation, being torn andreduce the engineering accidents, study on the mechanical property of this kind ofstructure system is a important thing during developing it. Although some scholarhas been done research on part of numerical stimulation and experiments, butthere is also only few theoretically analysis. So how to make use of the basictheory to analyze the property of the membrane should be given much more closeattention. This paper mainly studies research on the nonlinear deflection of orthotropicmembrane structure models with plane and hyperbolic paraboloid respectively.based on the large amplitude theory to establish the nonlinear governing equationsand then solve, obtaining the expression of the relationship between the deflectionand other parameter. At last, though integrating the common used date, give some examples toanalyzes the parameters which having a important affection to the deflection, suchas the membrane material, the amplitude, the sizes, the pretensions in twoprincipal directions, the orders of vibration mode and et, and then make acomparison between the results got before and the other results which deduced byThe Small deflection Theory. General in all, some conclusions obtained from thisthesis can provide some references to the engineering design and practice.
