It has been several decades since the appearance of modern membrane structures.The material,structure and mechanical characteristics of the novel structure are quite different from the traditional ones,which is light weight.It can cover a large span,and architectural style rich and colorful.The development of membrane structure is closely related to the development and improvement of building materials.Due to the low stiffness,the structure of the membrane is prone to deformation.The external load will be random and the displacement of the membrane will be random.Deflection will cause the membrane structure deformation,relaxation,wrinkles,even tearing phenomenon,it will cause serious economic losses,the mechanical properties of this kind of structure is conducive to more in-depth understanding of this kind of structure.Many scholars at merits and drawbacks have conducted research and analysed on this kind of problems,however,the theoretical analysis and numerical simulation are less.It is an important task to study the engineering characteristics of building membrane structure by analyzing the results.Firstly,the initial state for the plane and hyperbolic paraboloid membrane structure is done.The load deformation analysis for the two kinds of membrane by using the geometric nonlinear function of software based on initial state is presented,and then gets the results of the membrane surface deformation in the external distributed load.The numerical simulation results are compared with the existing theoretical results.In this paper,the load form is an ideal simplification,because the study is the state of the membrane after the load deformation,so there is no special analysis of the load distribution.In this paper,some significant conclusions were obtained that two kinds of membrane structure under external loads under deformation,and provide some reference for the design of membrane structure.
