Hybrid cermaie ball screws derived from conventional steel ball screw and oftenused in underloading occasions have emerged as a promising new product and offeredsignificant potential profitis. Presently the techniques of hybrid cermaie ball screws are atoriginal stage, and some theoretical researches and experiments involed are complex anddifficult to be accomplished. Because of silicon nitride ceramics imported, we need toimprove design structure and geometric parameters of the conventional steel ball screws,inder to give full play to advantages of ceramic materials and decrease disadvantageousaspects for the ball screws.The text based on the structural of conventional steel ball screw, conconducts theimproved design to the hybrid cermaie ball screw, one of modified design is the nutadopts composite layered structure design, we discussed the feasibility of the structuralconcept. The another modified design is the ball chain introduced retainer structure, thetext after the introduction of the retainer, and designs the structure of the retainerspecificly.Analysis the main performance main performance influence law, on the base we putforward assumption of improving the raceway section. Comparative analysis the severalcommon curvatures of two times curve and arc, we chose ellipse model raceway sectionfor hybrid ceramic ball screw, with the help of ANSYS software, analysis the contactcondition of the ball in double arc raceway section and elliptical arc raceway sectioncomparatively. Finally, we compare some main properties of metal ball screw and hybridceramic ball screw at the same size, Including degree axial stiffness, high stability,abrasion resistance, vibration and noise suppression, low speed feeding stability,temperature rise and deformation, and explain characteristics of hybrid ceramic ballscrew.
