With the development of people’s living conditions, cardiovascular disease is oneof the most dangerous threats to human health.This kind of diseases is generallydiagnosed by electrocardiogram(ECG).In recent years, unceasing development of theembedded and network technology for the monitoring of ECG signals provide a newsolution, it make portable electrocardiogram machine through the Ethernet access thecomputer, and realize the centralized monitoring possibly.This paper studies a portable network ECG monitoring system that has smallvolume and low price.The system can realize the acquisition of remote signals withECG sampling equipment connecting to the Intemet through embedded Ethernet and ituse TCP/IP protocol realizing with a PC of the data communication.According to the characteristics of ECG signal, we design a special signalacquisition circuit in order to pick up the electrical signal of human body surface.Thiscircuit has the control chip by the ATmega128of ATMEL company,which has strongdata processing ability to meet the system. This paper chooses ENC28J60as networkcontrol chip,realizes communications with PC through the TCP/IP protocoltransplantation.The client can use the Visual programming tools,such as Visual Basic,and the Winsock develop application program, which can realize the remotemonitoring of ECG signal.This paper studies a system which based on the embedded electrocardiosignaldata acquisition can make full use of the advantage of Internet.The system mayenhance the efficiency of cardiovascular diagnoses and prevention level.It also hassome basic supports to the coming fresh technologies,such as telemedicine,expertconsultation and so on.And this system has the characteristics of simple structure,stable performance, strong compatibility relative to the existing system,it also haspracticality and popularize value.
