Recently, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development reported thecondition of the safety accidents in constructional engineering in the first half of2010:overall, the condition of safety in production of constructional engineering presents tobe stable in the national reach, and the safety accidents tend to reduce. The number ofsafety accidents and its’ death toll in constructional engineering reduced compared withthe same period last year. The conditions of safety in production of constructionalengineering in most areas tend to take a turn for the better, as the number of safetyaccidents and its’ death toll in18areas reduced compared with last year. In the first halfof2010, there were214safety accidents, which is97fewer than last year, and276death, which is88fewer than last year, in housing construction and municipalengineering nationwide, reducing31.19%and24.18%respectively compared with thesame period last year. However, we can still see that the current condition of safety inproduction of construction is far from being satisfactory and calls for high attention. Inconstructional engineering, the major accidents and death toll increased rapidly, amongwhich the accidents caused by formwork engineering amounted to23, accounting for10.75%of the total number. Nevertheless, one of the main reasons is the instability ofsupporting system of formwork during the construction phase and the study ofsupporting system of formwork is the crux to avoid safety accidents caused byformwork engineering.The supporting system of formwork is applied to ensure the stable bear of qualityand strength of concrete construction itself in the natural increase and transfer therequired load in fresh concrete construction. If the supporting system of formwork is notstrong enough, the concrete may crack, some structural components may be destroyedand the structural collapses may even happen. Therefore, ensuring the stability of thesupporting system of formwork during the construction phase is one of the mainmeasures to ensure the construction safety.This thesis sets the supporting system of formwork during the construction periodof building structure as the object of study and goes deep into a series of issues such as the stable carrying capacity of the supporting system of formwork, control measures inthe construction period and the influence of the man-made mistakes by analyzing thesituation of study and the developing trend of domestic construction formwork.Studying on the supporting system of formwork enables us to control its’ stabilityreasonably, carry out the policies of safety in production of our country in practicalconstruction of formwork engineering, achieving advancement in technology,reasonability in economy, convenience as well as applicability and ensuring the safetyin production, make safe and economic construction method integrated with practicalconditions during the construction and grasp the dominant items in the implement ofmethod to ensure the safety of the engineering. Besides, during the process of formworkdesign and practical construction, people should select qualified material and tools andapply reasonable construction method and control measures based on practicalsituations to satisfy formwork’s need in strength, stability and stiffness in the process oftransportation, installation and application and give priority to formalized, standardizedand recyclable formwork supporting and formwork components.
