There has been a large number of industrial and civil construction with high floor height and large span with the acceleration of urbanization and an increasing demand for functions, spatial layout of buildings. High formwork supporting frame systems of fastener-steel pipe are extensively used in cast-in-situ concrete structure construction, and they turn into common formwork forms for construction enterprises in practice. Unfortunately, scaffold collapse occurred from time to time, which may triggered by, e.g. design flaws, material defects, structural defects, defects of construction, and management etc.The calculation models and methods of general formwork supporting frame system is introduced, and then the structure of high formwork supporting frame system is discussed in this paper. Moreover, structural calculations are carried out according to "Technical code for safety of steel tubular scaffold with couplers in construction"(JGJ130-2011), which consider the effects of component composition in high formwork supporting frame system to stability of supporting frame. The calculation method provided herein should prove useful for high supporting frame design in construction.At last, the design calculation method of high formwork supporting frame system with actual project example is verified in this paper. It shows that semi-rigid theoretical calculation model is more closer to real working conditions when designing high formwork supporting system. In the case of same materials and other erection parameters as well, bearing capacity of high formwork supporting system will decreases with the increasing of pole spacing and lift height. Horizontal load has a great influence on the stability of high formwork supporting system, and the vertical diagonal bracing can substantially improve the bearing capacity of the supporting frames.
