The Research On Residential Building Door Of Haidong Prefecture In Qinghai Province

Qinghai Province is located in the eastern part of Northwest China, and it isminority gathering place since ancient times, the main ethnic groups including Tibetan,Hui, Salar, Tu, Han and so on. Its residential diversity lead to its variety of culturalforms. China’s traditional residential architecture is rich and varied. By comparativeanalysis on the door of the construction of all Qinghai ethnic groups, the paper aims tostudy the structure and Art Deco features.The building in Haidong prefecture of Qinghai Province has three majorcharacteristics, Zhuangkuo residential┚large pine room and exquisite gatehouse. Itsunique local culture make Zhuangkuo residential on behalf of northweat territories.Door decorative arts in China is still in the stage to be developed, which developcontinuously with its architectural form. It is necessary to know, understand andexplore in depth the form of construction door in Qinghai minority territories andDeep seated cultural aesthetic connotation.This article first elaborates the door’s origin,background and development process,then leads to the backgroud information of the door in Qinghai Haidong prefecture.Combined with field investigations and studies, site survey and hand painted drawings,the article interprets the door to the gatehouse of the Qinghai Haidong prefecture. Themain contents include structural analysis, the decorative arts, spatial analysis andcultural connotations. The article also analyzed and discussed various nationalitiesdoor and hoped that we can summarize the law to provide practical guidance for thenew rural construction, so that the door to the gatehouse art deco with distinctiveregional characteristic can be heritaged and developed.
