With the rapid development of the national economy, the municipal undergroundpipeline is applied more and more widely, the city sewage pipe plays an important rolein the whole city municipal pipe network. This paper mainly detailed analyzing thestress state and deformation characteristics of the city sewage pipe based on the basiccalculation theories and methods of underground pipeline, reached a few preliminaryconclusions may be beneficial to city sewage pipeline design and construction. Themain work of this paper includes the following aspects:(1) Briefly introduced commonly used earth pressure methods and theories of thepipeline, and the finite element analysis sofeware PLAXIS are introduced in detail.(2) Analyzed stress character of city underground pipeline by finite elementanalysis in soft area, including peripheral radial stress analysis of underground pipelinethrough considering the influence factors such as buried depth of pipeline, pipe diameter,soil stiffness, underground water level etc. At last obtains effection law of variousfactors on earth pressure. At the same time analyzed and calculated lateral earth pressureon pipeline, the results are compared with the theoretical calculation standard, putforward a new calculation method for lateral earth pressure, the results of the methodare better fitting the finite element results.(3) A municipal pipeline project in Guangdong Province Dongguan city Shatiantown is briefly introduced, analyzed peripheral earth pressure of a class of pipeline inthe project. The earth pressure of the sewage pipe in the rainless season and the rainyseason are analyzed and compared, the effection law of rainy season is obtained.(4) Compared the numerical analysis results with the theoretical calculation results,to find out a suitable calculation method for the earth pressure of the pipeline in theproject area. (5) According to the above analysis and theoretical calculation, reached todeformation and destruction law of underground pipeline in soft soil, providedsuggestions for reference for municipal engineering.
