Since2000,the scale of higher education has expanded rapidly, and the number of population, area and teaching equipment increases dramatically,thus energy consumption booms. Due to the impact of planned system, lagging management mechanism, lack of energy saving awareness and slowing popularization of energy-saving technology, Besides, university buildings have public goods characteristics and exists " common pool " effect. Therefore, the waste of energy is widespread in universities, which enhances the teaching costs and hindered upgrading teaching benefits and saving campus construction. So the study of building energy saving in colleges and universities can help to the scientific development of campus and do significant importantance to promote national11th five-year plan of energy-saving.First of all, concept of university building energy efficiency was described through documentary research. Energy consumption characteristics of university building were summarized, and energy efficiency goals of university building were proposed. Subsequently, the life cycle management theory was described. Analytical framework for Life Cycle management was summarized, and analysis principles, analytical processes and analytical techniques for full life-cycle management were introduced.Then, energy management of life cycle for university building was analyzed. Theory analytical framework about energy management of life cycle for university building was built up. Stage division of building energy management is given out. From full life-cycle perspective, each management stage of energy efficiency for university building was analyzed systematically. Energy efficiency evaluation index of university building was established. Energy-saving characteristics of university building were also summarized in dissertation, and life cycle energy-saving practices were proposed. Finally,3rd teaching building in C university in Xi’an was selected as a case, and full life cycle management on energy-saving of this case building was analyzed. On this basis, optimization and recommendations of full life-cycle management for university building was proposed in dissertation.There is documentary research, systems analysis, case analysis and so on in the dissertation research. Through theoretical analysis and case studies, there are some conclusions:Full life-cycle theory is conducive to optimization and management of energy efficiency in university building, and energy efficiency of university building at each stage should be analyzed and managed.Based on life cycle theory, this dissertation researches on universitys’building energy-saving system qualitatively, which have some reference value on domestic evaluation and analysis of building energy efficiency research and management.
