Reinforced concrete flat slab structure has many good effects in vision, lightingand ventilation, this structure can reduced storey height and headroom at the same time.So it has many advantages, such as increase the structure layers, increasing social andeconomic benefits, and so on. It has been extensively used in industrial and civilarchitectures.At present, it is hard to find a specialized CAD system to design a reinforcedconcrete flat slab structure. In engineering, designers most using PKPM analysissoftware for computer-aided analysis, but a subsequent component design andconstruction drawing often make designers spends a lot of time.Considering the development tendency of reinforced concrete flat slab structureand the deficiencies of existing CAD design system, the paper combined withtheoretical analysis and engineering design has a further research, with a variety ofadvantages of computer technology, the author try to develop a targeted CAD system ofreinforced concrete flat slab structure, it can reduce burden and improve the efficiencyof design for designers.The development of this system use Windows operating system as a platform, itdeveloped by visual C++6.0with object-oriented programming technology, visualprogramming technology, CAD graphics conversion technology and MFC libraryfunctions. The system has good maintainability and expandability.The system have there main modules as a general procedure do their duty. Theauthor write program code for each mode in order to achieve a special function byVC++6.0. It features include: the interactive establishing of structure model, the dataacquisition of structure load information, material information and reinforcementinformation, structure mechanics analysis and calculation, the display and output ofstructure internal fore and deformation. This system has also prepared a bearingcapacity checking procedure for structure member design and automatic drawing ofconstruction drawing and the output of DXF format graphic file and so on.The main contents of this paper include internal force analysis method ofreinforced concrete flat slab structure, the engineering design method and the WLLGCAD system modules and program implementation method. Finally, an exampleis used to verify the system’s utility and stability.
