Having a strong driving force and a continuously variable transmission, off-roadvehicles UTV is applicable to all kinds of complicated road, thus UTV has broad marketprospects, and the development of the car has great economic value. UTV vehicletransmission assembly is an important part of the UTV vehicle drive system; it has adirect impact on power, fuel economy, manipulation of the reliability and portability, thedrive smooth and efficient. The gear transmission system as its main components partand cabinet work performance will both directly affect the performance of UTVvehicles.In this paper, use the finite element method to do a UTV vehicle transmissionhelical gear pair transient simulation during the gear meshing process. the core issue ofthe transmission shaft——gear meshing vibration characteristics.According to thein-depth analysising,the results help reduce vibration and noise of gear at the designstage to improve the dynamic performance and working life of the transmission, therebyenhancing the technical and economic performance of UTV vehicles. Doing UTVTransmission Case strength analysis, to improve the weak link, has a good role inguiding the design of the transmission case structure. The main contents andconclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Establish a finite element model of a pair of gear, analysis meshing transmissiontransient simulation of a pair of helical gear to verify the correctness of the model, thenanalysis the simulation results to have the stress distribution and vibration in the gearduring the gear meshing process.(2)Determine the modification according to the modification theory of helical gear,on the basis of the gear meshing transmission transient simulation analysis, modify thetooth profile of helical gear, compare gear meshing with modification to the gear notmodification, modifing has an effect on the simulation results of gear meshing transientperformance, the contact stress at the addendum and the bending stress at the tooth rootdecrease after modifing, the contact stress on the middle of the tooth surface increases,shock and vibration are largely reduced too, so the Vibration been very significantlyimproved.(3) on the basis of gear modification, add the initiative and the driven gear shaft, dothe transient simulation analysis of meshing gear.model finite element model of the different shaft stiffness by changing the gear shaft bending, torsional stiffness, analysisthe influence which the different gear shaft stiffness on the gear meshing vibrationcharacteristics. Chose diameter of the axis according to the empirical formula will leadto the vibration change a lot, according to the torsional strength formula will lead to thevibration change smaller, so in accordance with the torsional strength formula designedshaft diameter is more reasonable.(4)Established a four-wheel-drive UTV off-road vehicle powertrain system finiteelement model to analyze the quasi-static simulation of the entire system, according tothe transmission box Intensity distribution,to improve the weak link in the box, theimproved stress values significantly lower, and ultimately meet the design requirements.
