Due to the rationality and the practicability of earthquake model are needing toperfect, for engineering design of dissipation structures with linear viscou andviscoelastic dampers, the response spectrum design method is still widespread used atPresent. So the equivalent structure of dissipation structures is established necessarily byemploying the response spectrum design method, also is equivalent stiffness anddamping of dissipation structures are established which is very necessary. The complexmodal method, as a basic method in random vibration theory, is very important for theanalysis of dissipation structures. And the engineering practicability’s verification ofdissipation structures is also helpful.Based on the stochastic averaging method, approximate analytical solution ofrandom seismic response of SDOF and MDOF dissipation structures with viscous andviscoelastic dampers which including integral model with support and Maxwell model isanalyzed. Then, by the equivalent criterion of strochastic averaging analysis, theanalystic formulas of equivalent stiffness and damping of above mentioned dissipationstructures are established, which makes it possible for dissipation structures to usedresponse spectrum technique, and analytical solutions of random response statisticalcharacteristics for dissipation structure with Maxwell dampers, which is under stationaryand non-stationary stochastic seismic excitation, are established.Based on two complex modal methods, approximate analytical solution of randomseismic response of SDOF and MDOF dissipation structures with Maxwell dampers isanalyzed.Based on the stochastic averaging method, two complex modal methods and themodal strain energy method, numerical examples of stationary random and real seismicresponse of SDOF and MDOF dissipation structures with Maxwell dampers isestablished. And the accuracy of stationary random and real seismic response of thedissipation structures based on above mentioned methods are analyzed contrastively.By ETABS, the real seismic history response of a real dissipation structure withMaxwell dampers is analyzed. And the engineering practicability of dissipation structures is tested and verified.
