The temperature controller for aircraft ground air conditioning carts works in a complex external environment which is uncertain, time-variant and working model inaccurate,that makes temperature regulation difficult. The application of the conventional PID control with slow response time and poor stability can not meet the control requirements. On the basic of conventional PID control, this paper combines the fuzzy control theory and the thought of variable universe to form the variable universe fuzzy PID control algorithm. This algorithm combines the advantages of the three. The variable universe can improve the accuracy of fuzzy reasoning and the fuzzy control can make up the shortcomings of the inaccurate mathematical model of system and the PID parameters can be adjusted on-line. With these improvements, the adaptability and stability of the algorithm have been greatly improved, and the control effect for application in the varying parameters subject is better. With the Matlab simulation of the traditional PID control, integral separation PID control, fuzzy PID control and variable universe fuzzy PID control proposed in this paper, the simulation results show that the control effect of variable universe fuzzy PID control method is better than other control methods in the system dynamic performance, static accuracy and robustness. Further study is done on variable universe fuzzy PID controller hardware design.According to the requirement of aircraft ground air conditioning carts temperature controller, this paper adopts the high-performance and low-power STM32F103 ARM processor as main controller. The main controller will deal with the input signal and give the output value for the temperature controller. According to manual setting the controller can quickly adjust the temperature of outlet air to the setting value and display the outlet air temperature in real time.
