Along with China’s vigorous development of container transport, transport and other advanced mode of transport, container becomes economy not missing parts. Container port as communication of domestic and international two markets, two kinds of resource points of articulation, in terms of scale, function, organization mode are the long-term progress. From the port generation theory analysis, coastal ports in China basically already at the third generation to the fourth generation port upgrade stage, during this process, management, decision-making, promotion of soft strength is the key of success or failure.Lean production is derived from Toyota production mode of a kind of management philosophy. Compared with traditional batch and queuing for production, lean production is the use of continuous process flow to eliminate waste of a kind of production mode. Lean production by simplifying the production process redundancy link, promote the production of idea of organization, operation and market supply and demand and other aspects of change, make the enterprise production system can be faster and better adapted to the changing needs of users. Lean production is the main component of the supply chain. As an effective means of modern management, it has been widely promoted in the electronic and manufacturing industries.Along with economic development, lean production container terminal strategy has become the consumption of helping analyze and solving management problems, prompting enterprises to improve terminal productivity, reducing energy. We’ve got widespread attention on the field of terminal business. This paper research in security, energy and other aspects of the operation and performance of a large number of R & D work carried out to establish a large container terminal for lean production a series of key technologies. This article will take this as background, lean production strategy described in the daily operations of large container terminals of research and application.
