Highway Traffic Flow Detection System Design

But how can we ensure the smooth flow、safety、energy-saving and environmental protectionof highway, we will be from theaspect of intelligent transportation system to proceed it，setting up a highway trafficdetection system，So that the transport sector can grasp the most timely trafficinformation and Make the most timely adjustments。After decades，the development of highway traffic flow detection has formedseveral detection methods as following： The induction coil detection, microwavedetection, ultrasonic detection and video detection。 These methods have theiradvantages and disadvantages.For this reason, so we will analyze and study it in thispaper, and we obtain that the detection system based on video detection is in favorof Improving the quality of digital images, easy to install and low cost. This articlewill use the method of video detection. So it is necessary for us to do System analysisand research on it.The biggest problem of the video detection is the image processingalgorithm,and it is also the biggest difficulty. Therefore, the most important thing isthe video image processing algorithm. The algorithm consists of image preprocessingalgorithm、The image segmentation algorithm, the target detection algorithm, thebackground modeling algorithm and the flow detection algorithm。 This paperanalyzes the associated algorithm，and makes an improved maximum variancemethod.Through simulation, we find that this method is conducive to enhancing thespeed and accuracy of image processing comparing to the original method.This paper will be based on the DM6467DaVinci technology platform. DM6467uses ARM9and CM64X DSP dual-core processors, ARM as the control side andDSP as the calculation side. This solution is for the field of video processing and otherhigh-end application. This article will adopt the DM6467this digital video processor chip to build the highway traffic detection system. And we analysis and design thesoftware structure and hardware structure based on the DM6467in this article.
