The wind turbine blade is the key component of wind power generators, the structuredesign of which is the foundation of entire wind turbine design. Wind turbine blade isworking under the rugged environment with superposition effect of Aerodynamic loading,gravity loading&inertia loading as well as long time working, it’s easily damaged for thewind turbine blades, which causes great economic losses.It’s very meaningful to improve thewind power efficient&save cost of wind power generation by mechanical dynamicscharacteristic testing and analysis for wind turbine blades.The mechanical Dynamic Characteristics of the Wind Turbine Blade is mainly studied bycombining theoretical analysis and experimental research in this paper. With experimentresearch mainly, modal test, static test and icing experiment for the wind turbine blade havedone.First, the wind turbine blade of vibration characteristic analysis experiment device isintroduced. Blade of wind turbine was modeled in Solidworks. With the aid of the finiteelement analysis (FEA) software ANSYS, modal analysis and static analysis for the windturbine blades under the stationary state were done. Inherent frequency, modal shape and themain force components of wind turbine blade were obtained, which provides the importanttheoretical foundation for the following experiment study.Then, by using vibration characteristic analysis device of wind turbine blade and its mainlaboratory equipment, test rig were respectively built for modal test and static testexperimental system of wind turbine blades, however, experimental modal test of windturbine blades was finished by force-measured method, non-force measured method and theresonance method,modal parameters of wind turbine blade was obtained. The deformationcharacteristic for wind turbine blade which was acted upon by the different load was tested. Itwas proved through the experiments and finite element static analysis that blade root was thekey strength bearing parts of wind turbine blade.Finally, based on modal test and static analysis experiment, modal test rig of windturbine blades under icing was build. Under the simulated frozen environment in the artificialenvironment laboratory, monitoring the influences on mechanical dynamics characteristicvaries by changeable thickness&temperature of frozen ice, which draws an impact ofthickness&temperature of ice on natural features of wind turbine blade. At the same time,evaluation method of ice thickness based on multi-sensor information was established,quantitative relation between ice thickness and evaluation index was obtained. The ice thickness evaluation will be formulaic and practical. The paper is the intensive study ofstructure characteristic by deeply researching for study on mechanical dynamics characteristicof wind turbine blade, which will played an active role in manufacture for the wind turbines.
