Structure reinforcement of school buildings for quake-proofing has been drawn a great attention in China recently, in which different ways are applied. In this article, it focus on the application of two ways in terms of wall strengthening with reinforced concrete and strengthening with damper.This article elaborately describes the application of wall strengthening with reinforced concrete and strengthening with damper, analyses the key points of construction and problems may come across in addition with2instances. In the example of wall strengthening with reinforced concrete, it discusses the design, formation and construction methods of structure reinforcement based on the problems may happen. It gets the conclusion that entire structure should be the top priority considered in quake-proof structural strengthen, especially the deployment of reinforcing bars in corners and bolts. It argues that it is not necessary for pull-out testing in brick walls and steel bars should not be bended randomly in diverse dimension sections and additional foundations should be added when the original ones are much deeper. It improves the quack-proof design, constructing, and cost saving. In the example of strengthen with damper, it analyses the choice of dampers and braces, proposes the requirement of damper joints deploying in steel structure and the installation of dampers. It analyses and solves the problem in damper constructing and proposes that the deployment of damper should be accordance with quack-proof design and architectural utility, appropriate decoration after damper fixing will benefit building for the esthetical perspective. This article provides a valuable reference for wall strengthen with reinforced concrete and strengthen with damper, which could be referred to the application in structure strengthen of school buildings.
