Lighting is indispensable in people’s life, work and study, and lighting control is an important part of Building Automation. Along with the improvement of people’s live level, people put higher demand on lighting control. The development of electronics, communications and computer networks provide condition for intelligent lighting control system. Intelligent lighting control system can manage equipment effectively and can control lamps according to the need to avoid the waste of energy. So the prospect of intelligent lighting control system is wide.Traditional lighting control system is wiring complex, less flexibility and waste energy seriously. This paper gives the design and implementation of an intelligent lighting control system based on ZigBee and WiFi technology. This paper makes an detail analysis and study of ZigBee protocol, node type, network topology, routing algorithm and so on, and gives the network structure and function of the designed lighting system. The network mainly includes WiFi-ZigBee Coordinator node and Router node. Coordinator is responsible for the upload of bottom network information and the distribution of control command. Router node is responsible for the control of light luminance, illuminance information collection, staff position information collection, information transmission between nodes and information processing.This paper realized the bottom network hardware and software of intelligent lighting control system. The part of hardware mainly studies the hardware circuit of coordinator and router, and mainly includes communication module, sensor module, lamp control module and power module. The part of software mainly research and realize the software of coordinator and router, and mainly include program for network establishment, for the collection of sensor information and for the data transmission between nodes. The relationship between nodes can configure flexibly through upper computer. The test result shows that the system realized a degree of intelligent.This paper also studied an intelligent algorithm to automatically adjust light luminance based on people’s different demands about illuminance. The system will adjust the luminance of lamps automatically when people’s demand change or impacted by natural light to satisfies people’s demand and to make the distribution of the luminance of lamps optimization. The algorithm was simulated by using MATLAB, the validity of the proposed algorithm was verified.
