| The research object of this essay is about the reinforced concrete lining plate in Shuangquan reservoir in Anyang County, Henan province. After a thorough analysis of the causes of the lining plates using the finite elements software ANSYS, we can conclude that the spillway lining cracks are due to the both affection of difference in temperature and shrinkage of concrete which made bedrock deform lining plate and shorten the distance of the expansion joint.Through a careful analysis of the hydrology, meteorology, geology, design, construction conditions, and crack development conditions collected, we found the features of slope lining plates’fractures in Shuangquan reservoir spillway are characterized by:l.The places where the cracks appeared mainly focused on the geological conditions of the stone;2. Most of the cracks dehisced from the center of the lining plates;3. The left bank which receives more sunshine had more cracks, while the right bank had less.This essay talks about the factors of reasons of cracks, including temperature, concrete shrinkage, creep of the concrete, reinforcement, bedrock constraints. In the temperature part, using the ANSYS thermal module, we calculated one-day temperature changes inside and outside of the lining plates in summer, and got the difference of amplitude. Shrinkage of concrete is measured by equivalent temperature difference, while the creep of concrete applies the equivalent modules method. Through observing the two different foundations, six different working conditions, combined the bedrock constrains with other factors, we got a simulated calculation of the stress change and the cracks’situation, and a reasonable explanation of the causes of the lining plate’s cracks by a comparison with the practical situation. Finally, through the ANSYS simulation of the stress state of the5meters sub-seam plate under different operating conditions, it turns out that shortening the parting distant is an effective engineering measure to reduce cracks of lining plates. |
