The lithium-ion battery have become the most widely applied secondary batteriy for its small volume, light weight, high energy density, high working voltage, long life and amity to the environment, and plays a more and more important position as the main portable electrical energy at the same time. Lithium-ion battery winding equiment, as a key device in the lithium-ion battery production, determines the high quality and efficient production of lithium-ion batteries.At present,the domestic high-quality winding equipment is imported form abord, so it is difficult to meet the market demand for its high cost and low technical support and guarantee. While the battery winding machine provided by domestic battery equipment suppliers is producted generally by imitating foreign manufacturing technology. It uses a PLC controller as the main controller. On one side, for its long implementation cycle and low data processing efficiency, the external inputs and control response can’t be react quickly and the constant tension control effect of the separation film is not good. So the quality and efficiency of lithium-ion battery production are seriously affected. On the other side, the higher price of PLC led directly to increased the cost of the whole equipment, and it is easy to be copied and modified for its poor confidentiality.Embedded control system development program based on microcontroller is proposed in this paper by studying the lithium-ion battery winding equiment system. From the point of the winding equiment control requirements and the actual industrial production, the embedded control system is composed of a master control module, a winding control slave module and I/O extention slave modules. The communication method between master and slave module, the communication realization between upper and lower machine, and the constant tension control method to the separation film in winding process are analyzed in detail. In the hardware design, the specific hardware circuits and the circuit principle are detailed analysisred. The system uses the STM32series microcontroller as the main controller of every module, software programming uses C language and achieve code editing, compiling, debugging online and download on the RVMDK development platform. In addition, anti-disturbance measures in software and hardware are considered to enhance the anti-jamming ability in the system. Finally, the debugging method and realization of the whole embedded control system are introducted.The control system of lithium-ion battery winding equipment by using microcontroller as main controller of the embedded control system has realized the control function of the winding epuipment and the constant tension control of the separation film in winding process. The device is stable and reliable and greatly reduces the production cost of battery winding machine. At the same time, it has good secrecy and technical knowledge property rights. All of these are beneficial to the development of the lithium-ion battery industry in our country, and reduce the production cost, expand production scale and enhance the competition ability.
