The HVDC Converter Station is the conversion system between AC and DC. It is the center part of the DC transmission. In the HVDC Converter Station, the converter valve working voltage level can be as high as±800kv and power up to6000MW in operation can produce a lot of heat in the run-time. Therefore, it requires a reliable and effective valve cooling system to ensure that the high heat generated by the large current does not burn out the thruster in the converter valve. Meanwhile, with the rising of the transmission voltage level, the requirement for the device is strictly than ever before. And operating personnel’s knowledge and skills are also put forward higher requirements. In order to make the relevant practitioners to learn more about the water-cooling system, a simulation training system is researched and developed in this paper. The system is open and high real-time, can accurately reflect the actual operation of the system under different conditions and targeted for a variety of training.This paper firstly carefully studied the system works and control theory, designed the simulation training system combined with the actual production requirements. Including the object and scope of simulation, system function and implementation scheme, system main technical performance requirements and main function modules, etc.Prior to system development, this paper established the simulation system model through innovative application of the theory of time series analysis. In the modeling stage, firstly, analysis and processing the historical daily data of the water-cooling system, using an effective mathematical methods to handle missing values and outliers. And then use mathematical methods to model the key parameters in the system, such as time series, ensure that the model fitted values of more than95%. Finally, various models were optimized.Finally, using JAVA programming language to develop the simulation-training system. The system can be run on the Windows operating system, with a full-featured and high-open, friendly interface and real-time features. Meanwhile, in order to ensure the reliable operation of the system, the simulation in line with the actual operation, the system various functions are carried out several comprehensive tests.
