The traffic accident is getting more and more serious, and thus the automotive activesafety attracts more attention. In this context, this paper designs a vehicle activeanti-collision warning system and puts the emphasis on the research of avoiding control.The content of this paper mainly includes system theory and composition, targetrecognition and classification, safety distance model, avoiding control strategies andalgorithm.This article describes the role and composition of the active anti-collision warningsystem in detail and clarifies its working principle and key technologies. According to theuse conditions it puts forward the design requirements and makes the system designproject.This paper establishes a safety distance model based on the car kinematical theory.This model contains Safety Critical distance, Lock-in Target distance, Danger Criticaldistance and Limited Critical distance. Then the paper discusses their impact factors andthe focus is to consider the driver factors in order to meet the use of different drivers.Through the simulation of traffic accidents scenes we can develop the dangeroustarget recognition algorithm. Then divided the targets into non-threatening ones, potentialones and threatening ones. The threatening targets especially the dangerous ones will belisted as the key discriminated objects of the control unit. This paper makes a key researchon the avoiding controller and puts forward two avoiding control strategies which based onthe safety and the attention to comfort. Then the corresponding control algorithm isformulated on the basis of control strategy. And the concept of safety factor SF isintroduced, through its value the safety degree of vehicle can be directly reflected, and thehuman-computer interface is designed basing on the above strategies.The vehicle model, the target model, the safety distance model and the avoidingcontroller model are set up by using the Matlab/Simulink software, and simulation analysisare used for several typical riding conditions such as static targets, low-speed targets anddeceleration targets. The simulation analysis results prove the control strategy and the control algorithm are rationality and availability.This study can assist drivers to avoid traffic accidents and improve the active safety ofthe car in greatest degree. This has theoretical guidance and practical value for thepromotion of active anti-collision warning system.
