With our country has constantly invested in variety of road infrastructuralconstruction, the road transportation industry has being developed more rapidly. Theroad passenger transportation with its flexible,fast and convenient features makes theownership of the domestic operating bus increase every year. The operating coachkakes much advantagesuch as higher transport efficiency, more intensive operatingnetworks, better adaptation to road conditions, higher operating flexibility and moreeasy to adjust routes, etc. Therefore, the coach transportation holds the dominantshares in the road passenger transportation sector. But at the same time of the increaseof its usage, due to In-vehicle internal facilities, the higher passenger quantity, thusobjectively, the passenger capacity and height of center of mass have increasedindirectly. With the improvement of the vehicle’s traveling speed, it has technicallyhigher requirement of the coach’s system performance. It becomes a new issue turningat high-speed, braking on curve, emergency avoiding obstacle and the driving safetyin interference conditions. It presents the more significant for studying the chassisperformance of the coach. The vehicle trend and domestic road condition make theseparating evaluation of every single system could not meet the vehicle’s needs,therefore it is important to study the impact of vehicle performance matching andmutually coupling between various systems under the extreme and high-frequencyresponses conditions.Based on "The Operate Vehicle Safety and a Wide Range of IntegratedApplications" sponsored by the forth project in the ’Eleventh Five Year’ nationalscience and technology support program, the parameters of operate bus’s dynamicsmodels from the worldwide are analyzed, the parameters of operating bus’s dynamicsmodels combined in TruckSim are researched; TruckSim model of chassis dynamicsis given for Foton Europe V BJ6940U7LHB-3coach with two axis, and according tothe relevant requirements of test program to the vehicle dynamics model, simulationstudies are carried out.The thesis is consists of the aspects as followings:For the characteristics and dynamics of operational bus, It analyzes a typicaloperational bus’s braking, steering, suspension, tire characteristics, and also carry out the analysis on the typical models with two degrees of freedom and four degrees offreedom and gives the dynamics equation and vehicle’s mathematical model.For the chassis performance indices of operational bus, combined with nationalstandards on related tests of the vehicle chassis performance, it conducts the testmethod studies, plans test procedures for determining the particular vehicle’s chassisperformance, including operational bus’s steady-state circle test, slalom test, doublelane change test, full-loaded straight braking test with the engine juncting.Analyzing the methods modeling with TruckSim software and the solving stepsof VS solver; For the characteristics of operational bus, it focused on analyzing thevehicle’s chasis system such as braking, steering, tires, suspension and body modelingprinciples; On the basis of TruckSim modeling methods and the basic principal ofoperational bus system, taking Foton Europe V BJ6940U7LHB-3two axis operationalbus as an example, inputing the relevant data of system structure into TruckSim,accordancing with chassis performance standard and assessment method for theoperational bus, the vehicle dynamics models of the operational bus are developed toconduct a simulation analysis of the chassis performance, mainly for the straightbraking, steering angle step, steering angle pulse, steering back to front, steady-statesteering, slalom test, double lane change test, and the related comparison ofsimulation performance curves and performance analysis are given.Based on simulating vehicle chassis performance, factors of the chassisperformance are analyzed, then the dynamics performance of vehicle chassis systemis simulated and performance is analyzed by optimization, the effects on the dynamicsperformance matching of the refered vehicle chassis is evaluated.
