With the development of national economy, the development of heavy vehicles in theautomotive industry has become an increasingly prominent role of social and economicdevelopment, and people are increasingly high requirements for heavy vehicles performance.Complex work conditions make the heavy vehicles start frequently. The instability of thestart on the one hand impact to the driver, causing the comfort of a decline on the other handcaused a great deal of wear to the vehicle starting clutch, thereby affecting the life of thevehicle clutch.The introduction of the automatic mechanical transmission makes heavy vehiclesstarting performance can be effectively controlled. Especially in today’s market, Stalls ofheavy vehicles continue to increase, increasing the difficulty of the driver’s manipulationand intensity of work, using mechanical automatic transmission on the vehicle started to runhave a great help. However, in the clutch control of the vehicle starting process, there isalways a pair of conflicting performance indicators, that is comfort index jerk and economicindicators of the friction work. In order to reduce the impact will increase the clutch frictionand in order to reduce wear will increase the impact of vehicle started. Comfort andeconomy of start in the vehicle has always can not be unified.In this paper, the heavy vehicle liberation as the research object, considering thedifferent effects in vehicle starting characteristics by installation dry and wet clutch forheavy car. In this paper, the main content as follows:1. Analysis present situation of domestic and international heavy vehicle in applicationAMT and the application of the clutch in AMT system research status;2. Analysis of the vehicle start process, and respectively made a detail analysis in thedry type clutch and wet clutch start jointing process. Based on this, analysis of the vehicle started performance evaluation indexes, and make analysis in the influence of the factorsrelated to the characteristics of vehicle starting;3. Using relevant parameters and engine test data, and by using Matlab tools todynamics modeling about engine output characteristics and clutch power transfer process. Inaddition, make dynamics modeling on the vehicle started in resistance moment. Provides aplatform for the simulation of vehicle started characteristics;4. Analysis of the vehicles start control strategy and select the right control parameters,use toolbox of Matlab fuzzy control parameters to realize fuzzy control on the dry clutchand wet clutch, and applied to the simulation platform;5. According to the established model mentioned above and fuzzy output of controlparameters, making simulation analysis in view of the performance of vehicle started clutch.Analysis the performance of start about dry type clutch and wet clutch in differentconditions and make a compared between the different simulation results. By comparing theactual theory study and verify the correctness of the simulation results.This paper studies in the application of AMT system for heavy trucks to startperformance have the certain reference value and significance.
